Los Angeles Clean Tech 2011 Calendar – November

Welcome to the November 2011 Clean/Green Tech Events Calendar.  Some good events still remain in October and some very good events in November.  Go on out and participate!

Oct 24–27 – LEDs 2011 Bringing Lighting to Life – Three full days of coverage of the latest technology, applications and end uses, lighting design and luminaires and market expectations and analysis most relevant to the LEDs and lighting sectors. IntertechPira’s 12th Annual conference examines the trends, suppliers, innovators,  technologies, applications and markets for LED lighting.  Hilton San Diego Resort, Mission Bay.

Oct 24 – OnGreen Venture Roadshow to Shanghai and Beijing and meet with our special guest Daniel Zhu, Partner at TSING Capital, the first venture capital investment firm in China.  The roadshow is an introduction to OnGreen’s December trip with entrepreneurs, Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa and others to match top US cleantech companies with potential investors and partners in Shanghai, Chongqing and Beijing.

Oct 26 – The German American Chambers of Commerce present eMobility – the Future of the Automobile – a symposium held in Los Angeles and in San Francisco, will connect the local electric vehicle industry, universities, government, utilities, research and development, and communities with some of the thought leaders from Germany.  Local event at W Hotel, Westwood, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. 

Oct 26 – Pacific Cities Sustainability Initiative Green Transportation Conference – Mobility, Livability, and Economic Growth:  Sustainability Lessons from the Pacific Rim Connecting Los Angeles to Asia focus on public transportation perspectives – LA Convention Center, 9:00AM to 4:00PM.

Oct  29 -30 – Los Angeles Green Festival – the 10th anniversary of the Green Festival will bring together people and businesses, a green marketplace featuring sustainable products and services, speakers, performances, activities and outstanding exhibitors.  The Green Festival is America’s premiere consumer sustainability event, engaging, amazing and inspiring over 1 million people in their 10 year history.   Los Angeles Convention Center.

Oct 29 – Advancing Sustainability Business + Design Symposium – This year’s symposium will focus on sustainability within the scope of business and design.  The metropolitan area of Los Angeles is facing many environmental, infrastructural and socio-economic challenges in the 21st century.  Woodbury University campus in Burbank, 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM.

 Oct 29 – Thinking Water Part 2 – Water, Energy, and Climate Challenges Facing the U.S. West. The Arid Lands Institute in partnership with the UCLA’s Institute of the Environment and Sustainability offers this half-day seminar and briefing for designers on the critical water challenges facing the U.S. West.   Woodbury University, Burbank, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Nov 1 – How Green Building Methods Can Lower Your Energy Cost  The Clean Technology Council and SoCal IP Law Group 1st Tuesday event will present  Wayne Pendrey – President, Pendrey Consulting – Instructor at The California Building Performance Contractors Association to lead a discussion on lowering energy costs.  Westlake Village at the SoCal IP Law Group LLP, 6:00 PM

Nov 3 – Los Angeles World Affairs Council Young Professionals will host Sustainability & the Global Shift to Clean-Tech  panel discussion with Clean Tech Industry’s top innovators and leaders – CleanTechOC and CleanTechLA are co-hosts for this event.  PricewaterhouseCoopers offices, downtown Los Angeles, 6:45 PM.

 Nov 7 – California Waste Association present Vision 2012 – Working Together to Improve Our Industry and the Environment.  A 1-day Environmental Conference; Holiday Inn, Buena Park – 7:30 to 3:30.

Nov 8-10 – Advanced Biofuels Markets – The decision makers and advanced biofuels industry leaders including CEOs, Presidents, Vice Presidents, managing directors of advanced Biofuels companies, Government, associations, investors, VCs, EPCs operating in north america and globally will convene to review and discuss trends in financing, operations, technology, investment performance and strategies.  Parc 55 Hotel, San Francisco.

 Nov 15-16 – 6thAnnual Cleantech Open 2011 Global Forum and Gala –  Two days with keynotes, 100+ exhibits, networking, on-stage demos from innovative entrepreneurs, live judging of the Final 21 start-ups that advanced from the regional finals, evening receptions – all culminating in awarding the winners of the Global Ideas Competition and the $250,000 National Grand Prize.  Green LAVA’s Neal Roche, CEO of Gridtest Systems is among the finalists.  Doubletree Hotel, San Jose, CA.

Nov 30-Dec 2 – US Distributed Solar Markets & Solar Summit focus on California and New Jersey as leading markets.
