SBIR Phase I Workshop, April 23 at PortTech Los Angeles

In 2009, the Federal government provided over $2.5 B funding for early stage technology development through the SBIR and STTR grants.  Eleven agencies participate in the program.

SBIR/STTR consultant and Tibbetts Award Winner Marie Talnack, PhD will conduct a focused, hands-on workshop for small business executives submitting SBIR/STTR proposals this year.  This Phase I workshop will concentrate on the next scheduled solicitations: Department of  Energy, National Science Foundation, Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense.

  • University Researchers

This all day workshop is intended for companies that are actively seeking SBIR or STTR Funding.  The program includes an overview of SBIR funding and scoring, tips and tricks, agency specifications, research, planning, partnering, technology, budgeting, teaming and submittal process.

The workshop will be held at the PortTech Los Angeles offices in SanPedro on April 23rd, 2013.  Registration is now available at:  SBIR/STTR Workshop at PortTech Los Angeles.  The workshop starts at 9 AM and will end by 4 PM.  Lunch and workbooks are included.

In addition to this Phase I workshop, PortTech will be hosting a Phase II workshop in June and later this year (early November) PortTech will host a very special Phase III panel session, dinner meeting and workshop.  The Phase III workshop, dinner and panel session is a unique presentation being developed by Dr. Talnack to address the opportunities and benefits of  Phase III participation.
