Marie Talnack Leads SBIR Phase II Workshop – June 20th, Los Angeles

Marie TalnackSuccess with winning SBIR/STTR grants is a directly related to the quality of the proposed research and ability to stand-out from other applications.  This Phase II Workshop will cover the particulars of Phase II grants and focus on preparation of the Commercialization Plan – a key component of the proposal.  And this workshop will feature live presentations from NSF SBIR Program Director Dr. Ben Schrag and Frank Barros, SBIR Program Analyst from DHS.

Marie Talnack’s career in technology transfer and business development has spanned over 25 years since the SBIR and STTR programs were first established. She has worked at four research universities and two national research laboratories as well as her own consulting firm established in 1991.  Working with more than 300 companies, she has assisted in the development of over 500 technical proposals and grants which have been leveraged into $60 million in private capital funding. She is a winner of the SBA and National Science Foundation’s Tibbetts SBIR Advocate of the Year award and holds a Doctorate in Science and Technology Policy from the University of Southern California, MBA in Finance and Marketing, and Masters in International Management.
