An Evening Conversation with NutriFit and Skyline Innovations

Green LAVATuesday evening, Sept 17 at the office of Stradling Yocca, Santa Monica, Green LAVA will host an evening of fascinating conversations with two leading  local companies working to improve the quality of life of the consumers in their respective markets.    Food company NutriFit  and solar water heating start-up Skyline Innovations have very different approaches to changes in the environment and opportunities for profit.  But in common, they share an interest in the development of sustainable business practices and reducing the specific consequences of fossil fuel consumption.

Founding Director Jackie Keller of NutriFit is a member of the Climate Leadership Corps and is a passionate environmentalist.  On the founding team of a premier Los Angeles based food company, she has studied the impact of climate change on food security and crop productivity, disease proliferation and feed stocks for ranching.   She will share her insights and the way a food purveyor must adapt to the changes brought about by climate change.

Skyline Innovations is one of the portfolio companies at the LA Cleantech Incubator – LACI.  Sandra Lee, Sales and Marketing, comes to Skyline from corporate and business development at GridPoint.  Sandra leads Skyline’s demand creation initiatives and sales organization.   She will share Skyline’s innovative business model and the deployment of solar powered water heaters for multi-family residential units.   Skyline Innovations is one of a few official solar hot water system data providers certified by the California Solar Initiative — making Skyline’s installations eligible for rebates.

Registration is now open and for this meeting is mandatory – no walk-ins as access control is in effect at this location.  LAVA members are FREE!  Guests are $35 (become a member and come to all of these events, for free!)   Registration closes at noon on September 17th.  This event starts at 7:00 PM.  Refreshments will be provided.
