Welcome to the November & December 2013 Clean Tech Calendar of events for southern California.  And it will be a November to remember as we will see the inaugural Cleantech LA Global Showcase and the annual Cleantech Open Global Forum!  The domestic conference season comes to a close just after Thanksgiving so take advantage of these last few events to round out the year in Cleantech!

This Calendar is provided by Green LAVA – the Strategic Interest Group of the Los Angeles Venture Association dedicated to exploring and explaining regional clean and green technology, business and trends.

Oct 23 – Clean Technology Council special event will feature Steve Gill, President of Gills Onions discussing the company’s Advanced Energy Recovery System.  And Tom Landau will brief the group on the new CTC Global Initiative. Nov 19 – 21 – Connected Car Expo (part of the LA Auto Show) will feature an entrepreneur fast pitch competition sponsored by Splunk.  Four auto tech entrepreneurs get three minutes to pitch their business concept in front of CCE attendees to a panel of judges (VCs, incubators, CEOs etc); winner to be announced at the end of the day.  Mobile LAVA contributed to the development of this event!  Los Angeles Convention Center

Nov 20 – 21 – Cleantech Open 2013 Global Forum, the spectacular “Academy Awards of Cleantech”, as the Cleantech Open brings a close to this year’s competition with 22 Cleantech Open US Regional Finalists and the Global Ideas Competition Finalists from 20+ international countries.  These companies demonstrate their innovative solutions on stage at cleantech’s premier annual event with national and international entrepreneurs, the investment community, corporate partners, the cleantech community, and like-minded business leaders.  San Jose Convention Center

Nov 21 – 22 – CaFFEET (California France Forum on Energy Efficiency Technologies) is an annual event established in 2011 by EDF and the Consulate General of France in San Francisco. Its aim is to promote technical and scientific collaborations on energy efficiency between France and California, two leaders in achieving low-CO2 economies.  Stanford University

Dec 3 – 4 –  The 26th Annual Industry Growth Forum will feature presentations from 30 emerging clean energy companies, provocative panels led by thought leaders, one-on-one meetings, and organized networking opportunities. Since the Forum began, it has grown to be the perfect venue for growing companies to prepare, refine, and present their businesses to a wide range of investors. Each year, the best presenters are awarded cash prizes and commercialization services from NREL.  Grand Hyatt Denver, Colorado.

Dec 10 – 11 – The U.S. Solar Market Insight Conference presents data, analysis and expert forecasting on the state of the solar market in the U.S. This is the only event exclusively underpinned by the Solar Market Insight report series produced by GTM Research and the Solar Energy Industries Association.  Based on over four years of analysis of installation data, the event dissects cost trends, discusses the future of project finance and business models, and examines the potential of individual states and market segments.  Westin Gaslamp, San Diego
